Beautiful Redang Island – Pulau Redang
I’ve always very much wanted to visit Pulau Redang or Redang Island (as known to many others) after watching Summer Holiday 夏日的麼麼茶 during my teens. Few months ago, I’ve chanced upon this great deal from Redang Bay Resort, so I thought, why not?
Onboard Berjaya Air

I got this lovely shot of Pulau Redang on board Berjaya Air.
70 minutes flight
It is my first time taking Berjaya Air. Nice and cosy plane with not much passengers. Only took a mere 70 mins away by flight from Singapore Changi Budget Terminal. I practically had my seat-belt on throughout the flight. Wow, I couldn’t remember when was the last time I had my seat-belt on throughout a flight.

Arriving in Redang

White sand and clear blue seas
45 seconds to the beach
The best part of the resort I chose is that the beach is steps away from the resort. I think maybe a 45 seconds walk? I was tempted to take on some of the facilities the resort offer including karaoke, canoeing trips, Kayak trips, Beach football (my favourite), and various card games. But nothing is more important than hanging out at the beach with a bottle of Tiger Beer.
I checked out some of the packages the resort offer including:
jungle trekking
snorkeling & scuba diving
And I took up the snorkeling trip!

All in all, I had a fantastic weekend at Pulau Redang.
Redang visit tips
Here are some tips if you plan to visit Redang anytime soon. :)

Look out special package;

There are certain packages that includes 3 snorkeling trips and operate at: 9.30am & 2.30pm daily. Includes 1 snorkelling site at Marine Park. If you are not a sea sports person, you can choose to replace it with a jungle trekking trip instead.

From Singapore, you can book a flight with Berjaya Air – it operates from Changi Budget Terminal to Redang Airport in just 70 mins. Flight depart at 11.50am arrive around 1 pm T Redang. Return flight from Redang is 10.00am. There are daily flight from Singapore which is a big plus for me!
I managed to book Berjaya Air at only SGD 150 for a return flight tickets, but with only 10kg baggage allowance limitation. Good enough for me anyway.
